Some tunes I've had on repeat each month.
Fetty Wap is like a father to me. No joke, I've probably listened to his voice more than I've heard the voice of my own blood father. Now that he's out of jail, I am eagerly awaiting his newer releases, and I hope he finds success once "Again" (haha).
Millennial optimism ass music.
I stayed up until midnight to catch this song the moment in released. I don't know what to say other than I'm in love with this--everything from the instrumentals, his vocals, and the production. Maybe I can learn the banjo. I should probably call my mom. I hope she leaves the porch light on for me.
Do you all mind if a Chinese boy speaks a little Espanol? I do not know a lick of Spanish, but DTMF always makes me incredibly emotional--something about the love of Bad Bunny's life being his home country of Puerto Rico. I personally resonate with this song as a sort of love letter for one's (personified) homeland, especially from the perspective of diaspora across the world.
God I wish I were a cunty, hot gay man. In all seriousness, this is genuinely such a fun, catchy song. It saddens me that Lil Nas X's new music isn't receiving the attention it deserves--I swear my GOAT is not washed(!!!). Also, "You be the carpet, I be the vacuum" may be the lyric of all time.
My GOAT beating the quirky transmasc ukelele music allegations (light-hearted). I love the experimental "weirdness" infused in the production and song-writing of every track. The only gripe I have is that some of the songs feel too short.
Makes strip clubs seem cooler than they actually are. I can't get horny millenial music out of my head. Send help.
I've been listening to this illegally through a file someone shared with me upon asking. The edits to this song have been making me cry. I have so many feelings and thoughts about this that I don't know where to put down.
Catchy, bittersweet folk song that I listen to on walks. I came across it on complete chance while searching for another song. Makes me feel nostalgic for the evenings I'd spend in backyards and porches, talking to people I would never talk to again afterwards.
I listened to the entire album during a long commute. What a pleasure and privilege it is to experience this genre-bending, thoughtful body of work in its entirety. I still don't know how to process it. If I had to pick a favourite; probably TYRANT due to the TYRANT x All Night remix that's stuck in my head.
